DETECTING OPPORTUNITIES

DRC is a tech and innovation company that emerged in the year 2012 as a social enterprise offering cost-effective and smart techno-commercial solutions. They were driven by the mission of adding value to various industries and solving their problems through simplified solutions. They began their journey with the Diamond industry, which flourishes in their home city, Surat.

DRC was a well-established company in the detection of lab-grown diamonds but they wanted their other diamond machinery to be known as well. They wanted to spread the word that DRC is not just a master in diamond detection technology, but a research and development company that wants to use collective minds to solve problems in various industries and society at large. After developing a range of detectors, DRC came up with various other advanced and smart devices like bruters, Gem polishing machinery, etc.

They approached us for a rebranding, to build an identity that was modern, fresh just like their machinery. They were also looking to align this with their mission and vision.

POLISHING DRC

From the initial analysis by talking to the stakeholders and employees of the company to visiting their headquarters, we realized that they didn’t just manufacture machinery, but were also highly dedicated towards research & development. They ensured accuracy, detail, and dedication in coming up with each techno-commercial solution. They saw a problems as opportunities waiting to be explored.

They treated their minds, and machinery as preciously as they would do for diamond. This is what directed us to come up with their brand identity. Through icon/illustration style, typography, and a strong single color palette, we developed this into a visual language that complemented the brand and suggested a smart technology vibe. Not only this, but we also supplemented this with relevant brand guidelines book, product content, corporate video, website UI, and corporate stationery.

SHINING BRIGHTER THAN A DIAMOND

DRC was concerned not just about the problems at a macro level but wanted to draw solutions through micro-observations. Hence, when it came to their product shoot and videography we know that a mix of micro and macro would suit their re-branded personality best. We amalgamated their vision, mission, and brand philosophy and came up with the tagline ‘Minds that care’. Minds that solved problems, with care and consideration for businesses and society at large.
